What We Believe

"God is everything the Word says He is. We need to get acquainted with Him through the Word." - Smith Wigglesworth

Core Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of
Voice Of Truth-Kevin C. Benton Ministries based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

The Bible

The Bible is is the mind of Christ given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, infallible, and God's revealed word to man.

God

There is only one eternally existing, true and living God who has chosen to reveal Himself as: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise.  God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom,  justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Revelation

God has revealed himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, the holy scriptures, and through all of creation itself.

Mankind

Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin and appointed as caretakers of the rest of God's creations.

The Fall

When Adam and Eve chose not to obey God, they ceased to be what they were made to be and became distorted images of God. This caused them to fall out of fellowship with God, and fractured all of creation ever since that time.

Redemption

The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Virgin Birth

Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, He is the Son of God and the son of man. He came to save man from condemnation of sin by offering his blood as an atonement and making it available to all who exercise faith in Him.

Salvation

Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found
in Christ alone.

Healing

The redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.

The Church

The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Baptism in The Holy Spirit

The baptism in the Holy Spirit is given to believers who ask for it. The full consummation of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, and by the subsequent manifestation of spiritual power in
public testimony and service.

Ressurection

Jesus Christ was crucified, placed in a guarded tomb.
Jesus Christ rose from the grave on the third day and is seated at the right hand of The Father.

His Return

Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.

Heaven and Hell

All mankind is subject to the death of the body as a result of the original sin. The soul and spirit do not die, but immediately enter into a conscious state of happiness or misery according to rejection or acceptance of Christ the Savior.
The bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the saved to everlasting life and the lost without Christ

to everlasting damnation.
Those who have not accepted the redemptive work of Christ will suffer eternal separation form the Godhead. The devil and his angels, the beast, the false prophet and anyone whose name is not found in the Lamb's Book of Life shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the Lake of Fire. This is the Second Death,

the Lake of Fire.
